Welcome to the online home of Upper Knapp Farm Day Nursery in Dursley. Since opening our doors in 1994, we have been dedicated to providing a warm, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Our nursery is deeply influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach, celebrating each child as capable, curious, and full of potential. We believe in learning through exploration, creativity, and meaningful experiences — with the environment itself acting as a powerful “third teacher.”

Our beautiful farm setting offers endless opportunities for children to engage with nature, develop independence, and express themselves in authentic and imaginative ways.

As the Head of Nursery, my vision is to honour our strong foundations while bringing 21st-century learning to the heart of our practice. This means embracing innovation, encouraging critical thinking, and creating opportunities for children to develop the skills they’ll need in an ever-changing world — all while maintaining the warmth, care, and community spirit that have defined Upper Knapp Farm since 1994.
